I'm Matt Kindy, an engineer in Austin, TX. I'm a senior staff engineer at Workweek and the founder of NimbusAI, where we build static analysis that models what code does on every path it can take, then checks the two sides of each service boundary against each other. I studied computational and applied mathematics at Rice.

I've spent a bit over a decade across security, machine learning, and distributed systems. At Praetorian I worked on detecting vulnerabilities in source code with machine learning, which became US patent 11,568,055. The through line from there to NimbusAI is program analysis: getting machines to read code the way a careful reviewer would, at a scale no reviewer can.

Day to day I work on developer tooling, platform engineering, fullstack product, and ML. The projects here reflect that. suss reads both sides of an API boundary and reports where they disagree. Seattle Map redraws the city so that distance means travel time. I write a short post about once a month, usually about something a project taught me the hard way.
